Gala Night of Spiritual Clairvoyance
On Wednesday, 20th June 2007, The Spirit of Love and Light Spiritualist church held its charity gala night at the Wickford Railway Social Club.
The doors opened at 7pm and over one hundred people packed the function room. The clairvoyance started at 8pm and the Ambassadors of Spirit (Jane Dickens, Richard Baldwin & John Morrow) provided evidence that life continues amid fun and laughter, with a few tears. Everyone had a wonderful evening, concluding with a raffle of 30 prizes, donated by the friends of the church.
At the end of the evening, the church presented the mediums with a small gift of wine and flowers with grateful thanks for their hard work during the evening. This was followed by the presentation of cheques for £500 to each of the nominated charities - The Friends of Billy Grisley (for donation to a local children’s hospice) and Moulsham Grange Childrens Centre.
A massive total of £1,200 was raised during the evening and the remaining £200 will be donated to Childline. Alan and the committee would like to send a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who contributed to the success of the evening. It has been such a success that the church are already planning next year’s event.
The Spirit of Love and Light Spiritual church is a registered charity and meets on Mondays evenings at Wickford Railway Social Club, Platform 3. Wickford Station. The doors open at 7pm for spiritual healing and pre-booked table readings, with clairvoyance from a guest medium from 8pm.
